Forrest Lien, Forrest Lien, LCSW, ACSW, is our Executive Director, a Clinical Social Worker and a Contract Clinician. Forrest received his MSW from the University of Nebraska/Omaha. For twelve years Forrest was the Treatment Foster Care Coordinator for the Casey Family Program in Tucson, AZ. He has vast experience in Child Protective Services, Residential Treatment, Individual and Group Therapy and is a trained Attachment Therapist. Forrest received his MSW from the University of Nebraska/Omaha. He is a popular speaker, trainer, consultant and therapist who has appeared on multiple media venues, including 20/20, as a consultant to HBO, on the Today Show and has made other TV/Radio appearances.
Forrest has presented over 100 workshops throughout the United States and Canada on Attachment Disorder. He has trained hundreds of clinicians in specialized techniques required to treat this difficult population. Workshop participants consistently rate Forrest's workshops with the highest marks.

Margaret E. Meinecke, LCSW, CAC III
, Bio:
Margaret Meinecke is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice (Meinecke & Associates) in Littleton, Colorado.  She serves as a contract therapist at IACD, working with severely disturbed children and their families and offering therapist training and supervision through the IACD Training Institute.  Her private practice work includes insight-oriented therapies, cognitive-behavioral work with individuals and families, social and relationship skills, crisis intervention and trauma recovery work.  She is state certified as an addictions specialist (CAC III) providing clinical assessment and treatment for clients dependent on drugs, alcohol, self-harming behaviors or destructive relationships.  She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and is an instructor/facilitator in ICP, Inc.’s CORE Communication Programs for Couples and Individuals.  Ms. Meinecke has authored articles on maternal depression, addictions, adoption and parent-child relationships as well as other mental health issues.  She consults with several local community mental health centers on issues of parenting and therapeutic interventions for adults and children with attachment issues.  Margaret leads workshops for Denver’s Adoption Exchange and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who work with displaced and traumatized children.  She provides supervision for educational counselors at Denver Kids, Inc., a program for at risk youth within the Denver Public School System and parenting workshops for the Douglas County School District.

John F. Alston
, M.D. is a child, adolescent, family and adult psychiatrist practicing in Evergreen since 1977. Dr. Alston received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He also served as a resident in general psychiatry at Tulane. He received his fellowship in child psychiatry from the University of California School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Alston serves as a Consulting Psychiatrist for IACD. He consults with adoption and foster care agencies and other treatment centers. Dr. Alston has written for several publications and presents educational programs covering such topics as ADD, RAD, Bipolar Disorder, Disruptive Behavioral Disorders and Mood Disorders. Dr. Alston is one of three worldwide recipients of the Psychiatric In Practice Award 2000. Beverly B. White, LPC, EAP
BIO:
     Beverly B. White, LPC, EAP holds a Master's Degree in Education, Counseling and Personnel Services. Ms. White is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Equine Assisted Psychotherapist and a Licensed Colorado School Counselor. Ms. White is the Executive Director of Littleton Family Counseling. For the past nineteen years, Ms. White has worked with children and their families with issues of attachment, trauma and loss, including international and domestic adoptions, and foster placements. Ms. White has lectured for the Chinese Children Adoption International agency, and has served on standards and policy committees of both non-profit and public education institutions. Ms. White is a frequent guest speaker with the Criminal Justice Addiction Services treating repeat offenders and drug and alcohol substance abusers.

Ms. White serves as a consultant and trainer/educator in the areas of attachment and loss, assessment and treatment of Disruptive Behavioral Disorders of childhood and adolescence, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, early onset of Mood Disorder in Children, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Self-Injurious Behaviors of pre-adolescence and adolescence, as well as serving as an Educational Liaison in the Colorado public schools.

Most recently, Ms. White completed training as a Certified Instructor in Couples Communication I & II, and Core Communication, through Interpersonal Communication Programs, Inc.

Jane Baker, LCSW, PIP is the executive director of the Center for Attachment and Family Development located in Decatur, Florence, and Athens, Alabama.  She has worked in the field of adoption and foster care for 25 years and specializes in Attachment Therapy and disruptive behavioral disorders.  She received her MSW from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL where she continues as an adjunct professor.  She is also a speaker/trainer with Alabama Post Adoption Connections. The Center for Attachment and Family Development provides services to families, individuals, and children through assessment, testing, and counseling.

Chris Lierheimer
    
Chris Lierheimer is the Head of School at Evergreen Academy , a Christian, K-8 school located in Evergreen, CO. An educator for 20 years, Chris holds his Master's Degree in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Theology from Denver Seminary. Chris and his wife, Victoria, have four children, including an adopted daughter, Abigail, from China . The Lierheimers also run a childcare center in Evergreen and are active members of their church.

As a change management consultant for over 25 years, Gene consulted in change management to more than 100 long-term projects within 85 separate organizations. In addition, he has also served in senior management positions of two medium sized businesses. 
     He consults to healthcare, government, construction, financial and non-profit organizations.
